Russiaville Babe Ruth (13-15) and Senior Babe Ruth (16-18)

2024 Babe Ruth Spring/Summer League Information (13 - 15 year olds)

This is Scott Sipes, Russiaville Babe Ruth Director.  I would like to invite your son to continue playing baseball this coming spring and summer with Russiaville Babe Ruth (13 – 15 year old league).  Registrations are open from January 1, 2024 through March 1, 2024.  The registration fee is $150.00 plus a 5.7% processing fee.

Register at:  https://kokomounited.leagueapps.com/leagues/baseball/4123661-kubs-babe-ruth-2024

First, you will have to create an account by selecting “Sign Up”, if you do not already have a League Apps account.  Then, select the Register button for “KUBS Babe Ruth 2024” after signing up/signing in.

Our teams will enter in the Kokomo Unified Baseball and Softball (KUBS) Babe Ruth league as Russiaville teams.  There are two sub-seasons for the season, Spring Season (doubleheaders on Sundays from mid April up to late May) and Summer Season (games mostly on weekdays from late May through the end of June).  At the conclusion of the Summer Season, there may be All Star teams selected from all the teams in the Kokomo (KUBS) Babe Ruth League to form All Star teams for each age, depending on interest level.  One registration covers the Spring and Summer sub-seasons.

Tryouts will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Taylor High School Fieldhouse, with a draft shortly thereafter. All players NEW to Russiaville Babe Ruth (13 - 15 year old league) are required to attend the tryout. Players will be drafted by coaches to teams based on their tryout evaluations. Returning players to Babe Ruth will return to their team from last year and DO NOT need to tryout.  Practices will start in late March or early April.  The league accepts players who play on other teams, such as school teams or other travel teams.  Middle school players are allowed to play with their Babe Ruth team on Sundays for the spring sub-season, but it is optional.  High school players will join their Babe Ruth team at the conclusion of the high school season.  All players MUST be registered by March 1, 2024, regardless of whether a player also intends to play on a school team or not.

Regular season games are played at various facilities in the area, with most home games being played at Championship Park.  Babe Ruth teams that we may compete against are Kokomo, Taylor, Greentown, Maconaquah, Tipton, Peru, and others.

We are also looking for additional coaches and sponsors for the 2024 season.  Businesses can sponsor a team for $450.  New for 2024, parents who serve as Manager for the entire season are eligible for a refund of their child’s registration fee.  In addition, all coaches will receive a team jersey and hat, free of charge, as a thank you for their time and service to the kids.  If you are interested in assisting in one of these vital ways for the future of youth baseball, or if you have questions, please contact us by texting or calling Scott Sipes at 765-404-3495.
